WASTEWATER TREATMENT FACILITY OPERATOR - New Hanover Township Authority, Montgomery County, PA seeks a skilled and experienced individual to serve as its Wastewater Operator II.  Salary range for an Operator II is $24.94 to $28.39. 

The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks required to ensure proper operation and maintenance of the WWTP facilities and collection system.  Candidates must possess both mechanical and electrical aptitude.  Previous wastewater experience is desirable.  The Operator II job description is located on the township website.  FT, 40 hrs/wk with OT required when needed.  Participate in on-call, weekend and holiday rotation.  Must be able to perform manual labor and lift 50 lbs.  An Operator II must possess a PA DEP Wastewater System Class B, Subclass 1,4 Operator Certification.  A valid PA CDL B with air brakes, tanker endorsement, and clean driving record or the ability to acquire the license within 6 months.  Must pass drug/alcohol/physical exam.  EOE.

 – Hickory Park Pool in New Hanover Township, Montgomery County, PA seeks motivated individuals to serve as seasonal lifeguards for the upcoming summer.  The hourly rate is $10.00 an hour for a certified lifeguard.  New Hanover Township is willing to pay for the American Red Cross or YMCA lifeguard training course for the successful uncertified candidates, but the hourly rate will be $8.00 an hour.  The successful candidates will be responsible for a variety of tasks required to ensure the safety and welfare of members at the pool which includes prevention of accidents, lifesaving, and assistance with the concession stand.  Candidates must possess a current certification in Lifeguard Training and Community First Aid and Safety from the American Red Cross, YMCA, or other recognized agency-offering instruction in aquatics at the start of employment.  Candidates must possess a current certification by the American Red Cross in CPR for the Professional Rescuer.  Candidates must be at least sixteen years of age at the start of employment.  Previous swim instructor and lifeguarding experience is desired, but not mandatory.  Must pass drug/alcohol/physical exam.  Candidates need to fill out and complete an employment application and email it to Shelly Sallade at
