FOREMAN/OPERATOR/LABORER - New Hanover Township, Montgomery County, PA seeks an interested and qualified individual to apply for an opening as either a Laborer, Operator or Foreman within our Public Works Department.  The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks required to ensure proper operation and maintenance of the Township’s roads, buildings, parks, vehicles, and other property.  FT, 36 hrs/wk (M-R standard schedule*).  Must be able to perform manual labor and lift 80 lbs.  Depending on the position applied for, either a valid PA CDL B with air brakes or a PA CDL A and clean driving are required.  Must pass drug/alcohol/physical exam.  EOE.   Qualified candidates for Laborer: $38,000-$45,000.  Qualified candidates for Operator: $45,000-$55,000.  Qualified candidates for Foreman: $55,000-$65,000.

WASTEWATER TREATMENT OPERATOR - New Hanover Township, Montgomery County, PA seeks a skilled and experienced individual to serve as a Wastewater Operator (II or III).  This successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks required to ensure proper operation and maintenance of the WWTP facilities and collection system.  Candidate must possess both mechanical and electrical aptitude.  Previous wastewater experience is desirable but will train candidate that meets the other job requirements as described in job description located on the township website.  FT, 36 hrs/wk (M-R standard schedule*), with monthly weekend on-call work.  Must be able to perform manual labor and lift 80 lbs.  Possess a PA DEP Wastewater System Class B Subclass 1,4 Operator Certification or the ability to acquire within 18 months of hire.  A valid PA CDL B with air brakes and tanker endorsement and clean driving record or the ability to acquire the license within 6 months.  Must pass drug/alcohol/physical exam.  EOE.   Qualified candidates for Operator II: $52,145.60-$59,342.40.  Qualified candidates for Operator III: $37,315.20-$48,692.80.

LIFEGUARDS – Hickory Park Pool in New Hanover Township, Montgomery County, PA seeks motivated individuals to serve as seasonal lifeguards for the upcoming summer.  The hourly rate is $15.00 an hour for a certified lifeguard.  The successful candidates will be responsible for a variety of tasks required to ensure the safety and welfare of members at the pool which includes prevention of accidents, lifesaving, and assistance with the concession stand.  Candidates must possess a current certification in Lifeguard Training and Community First Aid and Safety from the American Red Cross, YMCA, or other recognized agency-offering instruction in aquatics at the start of employment.  Candidates must possess a current certification by the American Red Cross in CPR for the Professional Rescuer.  Candidates must be at least sixteen years of age at the start of employment.  Previous swim instructor and lifeguarding experience is desired, but not mandatory.  Must pass drug/alcohol/physical exam.
