PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR - New Hanover Township is seeking a public works director responsible for planning, directing and managing the projects and operations of the public works department. The qualified candidate will possess knowledge and experience in project management, budget preparation and implementation, road construction, road repair, storm sewer maintenance, snow removal and facilities maintenance. The position requires experience in public works or related field with a proven track record of strong management, supervisory and communication skills. On Your Park, Get Set, Go! - The Pottstown Area Health & Wellness Foundation is sponsoring a contest for local parks to win a recreation grant.  Please come out to Hickory Park the month of July and vote for our park!  There will be a small poster at the front of the park and at the concession stand at the back of the park.  Scan the QR Code on the poster, do an easy math problem and 10 votes will be registered for Hickory Park.  Visit the park on Saturday, and the scan will be worth 20 votes.  (Download and install the app for free:  "QR Code Reader or Microsoft Tag)  You can also go to the Wellness Foundation's Facebook page:  Mission Healthy Living and cast a vote.  Facebook votes will count as 2 votes. Swim Lessons for Level 1 Beginners - August 4th to the 14th - Monday thru Thursday - 11:00 am to 11:45 am.  Cost:  $30 pool member and $40 non-pool member.  Sign-up at the Township building.

Hickory Park Pool Monthly Pass - New Hanover, Upper Frederick & Douglass Township Residents Only - Family of four ($50.00) and ($10.00) each additional family member.  Monday thru Friday Day Passes:  Adults $6.00 - Children (under 12) $5.00.  There will be no holiday or weekend day passes.  Pavilion rentals available.

Tax Collector Available at the Township Building - 6-8 pm on 8/6, 8/20, 8/21, 8/25, 8/27, 8/29 and 9-11 am on 8/16, 8/30, 12/27

Montgomery County Electronics and Household Hazardous Waste Collection Events have been scheduled - this year's programs have been expanded to include paper shredding, tire collection, rain barrel and compost bin sales. Please visit MontgomeryCountyRecycles.org for dates and details.

Yard Waste Composting hours - Drop-off site at Hetrick Gardens, 2620 Swamp Pike, Gilbertsville, PA.  Monday thru Saturday 9am to 4pm;  Closed Sunday.  Residents must register at office each time they drop off. Non-residents and contractors may also drop off yard waste for a fee.
